Pardon my tenacity—
I’m not yet ready to sever
the ties that so effortlessly
made insignificant, those ostensibly
epochal constraints and
initiated the incessantly
burning fire within.

Those couples that seem to go through the same cycle over and over again - break up, make up, break up, make up, etc. I never used to understand why either of them would even consider getting back together after so many break ups, until I experienced it for myself. You’d think that after the emergence of a recurrent pattern, that at least one of them would realise the relationship...
